Personal Injury

Personal Injury

We represent individuals who have been seriously injured because of the negligent or intentional acts of another. The law allows a person to seek payment for the damages caused by the fault or negligence of another.

You may seek payment of past and future medical expenses; lost wages; lost earning capacity if you are forced to change careers; loss of enjoyment of life; disability; and pain and suffering. When we handle your personal injury case, you can be rest assured that your case is in the best of hands. Every client and every case is important to us.We welcome questions and feedback from our clients and we strive for your complete satisfaction.

Wrongful Death

”Wrongful death” is a legal term that refers to situations when a person dies because of the negligence of another. Wrongful death cases may arise from a variety of incidents, including car accidents, job related accidents, and medical malpractice.

Our goal is to make sure that the survivor and beneficiaries are properly compensated for their loss. In times of grief it is obviously difficult for family members to understand the importance of a prompt investigation of the circumstances of death, preservation of evidence and identification of responsible parties. Let us help you.

Automobile Accidents

We represent automobile accident victims. We are committed to treating each case, large or small, with the seriousness it deserves in order to assure that each of our clients receives the compensation that he or she deserves.

Slip and Fall

“Slip and Fall” describes a situation where one can not safely walk without falling. A common case involves the lack of maintenance of ice and snow. While the law does not require perfect conditions, a landowner must be reasonable.

A total failure to remove ice and snow, not responding after complaints or other falls, or improper construction can all be the basis for a slip and fall case. The general rule of law is that the landowner has a duty to keep his property in a reasonably safe condition.

Premises Liability

Premises Liability cases arise from injuries occurring in residential and commercial buildings, shopping centers and parking facilities, hotels, airports, healthcare facilities, nightclubs and bars, as well as universities and public schools.

The general rule of law is that the owner or operator of the premises has a duty to keep the premises in reasonably safe condition or at least warn customers of a dangerous condition of which the owner or operator either caused, knows about, or should know about. Lack of adequate security could be a valid claim. If you or a loved one has been seriously injured as a result of dangerous premises then you may have the right to file a legal action.

Dog Bites

Some dog owners will not take the necessary steps to restrain or supervise their dogs. An unrestrained dog can viciously attack innocent people, and especially children. The resulting injuries can be catastrophic. Physical and emotional scars can last a lifetime. In most circumstances, a dog owner will be financially responsible for personal injury caused by their unrestrained dog.

Construction Site Accidents

Construction is the United States’ largest industry, and unfortunately, construction site accidents kill and injure thousands of workers each year. Despite safety standards to prevent construction accidents, one out of every ten construction workers suffer some kind of on the job injury, including:

· Falls
· Scaffolding, Crane, Conveyor, Ladder, Winch, and Backhoe Accidents
· Electric Shock
· Trench Collapse
· Fire and Explosion
· Highway Vehicle Accidents
· Compressed Gases Accidents
· Welding Accidents

Although most injured workers will be entitled to Workers’ Compensation benefits, these benefits will not cover all of the expenses faced by an injured worker and generally do not cover pain and suffering and the full range of damages available to the loved ones of a worker who is killed in an accident.

When a construction site accident occurs, responsibility for the personal injury can be attributed to a variety of individuals or businesses, including the owners, contractors and subcontractors, engineers, electricians, scaffolding companies, architects, insurance companies and manufacturers of equipment. For example, the general contractor and subcontractors must provide a reasonably safe work environment and manufacturers of construction equipment are responsible designing and maintaining safe products.

Knowledge of federal and state standards governing construction sites is imperative when developing theories against all of the third parties who may be responsible for a construction site accident. Any attorney you choose should be experienced in the inspection of worksites, preservation of evidence and identification and questioning of critical witnesses.

Oil Field Accidents

Injuries that occur in oil fields can be unusually severe and result in serious disability that prevents the injured person from returning to work and earning a livelihood. Despite safety standards in place to prevent oil field accidents, oil field workers suffer on the job injuries at an alarming frequency. The most common accidents occur as a result of:

· Falls
· Defective Machinery
· Pipeline and Roughneck Work
· Sulfur Hydroxide Fumes
· Tank Explosion
· Inadequate Safeguards

When a construction site accident occurs, responsibility for the personal injury can be attributed to a variety of individuals or businesses. In complex cases, in addition to negligence and workers’ compensation, the legal principles of agency and corporate law may be necessary in determining liability.

Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing oil field is imperative when developing theories against all of the third parties who may be responsible for an accident. Any attorney you choose should be experienced in the inspection of oil fields, preservation of evidence and identification and questioning of critical witnesses.
